Landmarks of the Emerald Isle - Photo-book
When I sat down to decide what I would do my photo-book project on, I changed my idea several times. I finally decided to travel the country and take pictures of the landmark that I think defines each county. The idea was also to compare each county and see if the counties in the same part of the country have similar landmarks (e.g. the northern counties consist of many lakes).
I spent five months doing the project, sometimes visiting four counties over one weekend. The pictures in the photo-book are laid out by region; the northern region, the east coast, the midlands, the southern region and the west coast.
The northern region generally consisted of lakes. The east coast was mostly man-made landmarks. The midlands contained a lot of natural or pre-historic landmarks. The southern region was mixed while the west coast was very mountainous.
The photo-book contains pictures of beautiful lakes and valleys, spectacular mountains and historic castles amongst other famous landmarks.
